Diamond Creek Pet Retreat also offers grooming services by experienced professionals. Our services range from nail clippings and simple baths to the most elite styles. Our groomers are also experienced with providing unique care to those in need.

At the Canine Sports Center, another amenity of Diamond Creek LLC, the dog fancier has a place to bring his or her dogs for training, sports, exercise, and fun! Whether you want to become a better trainer for your family pet, or whether you are an explorer of canine competitive sports, we provide an environment with skilled, professional trainers, so you can further your relationship with your dog.

Our center includes multiple training areas both inside and outside. In addition, there are several large grassed fields and trails throughout the 68 acres of wooded area available for your enjoyment.

Diamond Creek LLC also has a supply shop that carries quality dog foods, raw diet supplies and support, training equipment recommended and supported by the trainers of CSC and healthy treats, safe toys and dietary supplements. We do not sell second rate or out-of-date food.

K-9 NOSE WORK COURSE
Instructor: Laurey
This 6-week course will use your dog’s natural scenting ability. If your dog has a nose, they can participate. There are no obedience pre-requisites, but your dog does have to be able to be crated (please bring your own crate) or stay quietly in your car while other dogs take their turns. This course will teach your dog to use their natural ability to hunt and scent. Nose work will give your dog an opportunity to burn mental and physical energy while building confidence, and strengthening your relationship with your dog.

BASIC FIELD & HUNT COURSE
Instructor: Frank McKane
6-week course **Using all positive reinforcement training methods**
The Basic Field and Hunting Dog Course is designed for dog owners interested in getting involved in the dog field sports, such as hunting, hunt tests, field trials, “Big-Air,” and other outdoor activities (hiking, backpacking, tracking.) While the class is mainly designed for the sporting breeds (retrievers, pointers, spaniels, setters), all dogs, including mixed breeds, are welcome. Students will learn to “fetch” on command, scent training, sit for wing/shot (“whoa” command), whistle commands, introduction to blind retrieves, honoring and introduction to the field dog sports.
*Pre-requisite: CSC’s Beginner Obedience 101 (or equivalent).

INTERMEDIATE FIELD & HUNT COURSE
Instructor: Frank McKane
6-week course **Using all positive reinforcement training methods**
The Intermediate Field/Hunting Dog Class is a continuation of the lessons learned from the Basic Class. Students will take their basic knowledge into the field as this class is outdoors.
Retrievers (and retriever mixes) will learn how to “mark” a fall and overcome the natural obstacles found during a retrieve. Each week, the retrievers will also learn to basic drills to run a “blind” retrieve through whistle commands and hand signals.
Upland hunting dogs (and mixes) will learn how to quarter a field using their natural scenting abilities and whistle commands. These dogs will also be taught to a point and become steady during the flush.
All students will advance their abilities to retrieve on command and respond to the whistle “come” command.
*Pre-requisite: Completion of Basic Field & Hunt Course.

PRIVATE BEHAVIORAL CONSULTATIONS
For the owner who is dealing with situations that a class environment would not be ideal. Instructors will meet with the owner to evaluate the situation and begin developing a behavior modification program. Contact our office for more information and to be contacted by an Instructor.
